System G14: Relief Valve (Line) - Test and Adjust - Auxiliary Control Valve

Usage:

315C ANF
Use the following instructions in order to work in the service mode.

(1) Up key

(2) Down key

(3) Left key

(4) Right key

(5) Set key

(6) Menu key

(7) Cancel key

(8) OK key

Note: When additional safety is needed on machines that are equipped with a swing brake solenoid, disconnect the swing brake solenoid so that the swing brake remains engaged.

  1. Position the machine on level ground and stop the engine.

  1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System - Pressure".

  1. Install a pressure gauge with a 4000 kPa (580 psi) capacity on pressure tap (11). Install a pressure gauge with a 40000 kPa (5800 psi) capacity on pressure tap (9) .

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Perform the calibration procedure for engine speed in Engine and Pump Control, "Engine Performance - Test (Engine Speed)".

  1. Set the pilot pressure to the specifications in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Pilot) - Test and Adjust".

  1. Warm the hydraulic oil to 50 °C (122 °F).

  1. Set the main relief valve to specifications. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Main) - Test and Adjust".

  1. Calibrate the power shift pressure. Refer to Engine and Pump, "Power Shift Pressure (Calibrate)".

  1. Calibrate the extend solenoid valve for the Attachment Control Valve. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System G14: Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing) - Calibrate (Attachment Control Valve)".

  1. Perform the calibration for the proportional solenoid valve for negative flow control. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System G14: Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing) - Calibrate (Negative Flow Control)".

  1. Perform the calibration for number one relief valve and number two relief valve. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System G14: Relief Valve (Line) - Test and Adjust (Number 1 Relief Valve and Number 2 Relief Valve)".

  1. Turn the adjustment screw on the main relief valve for one half turn clockwise to 39000 kPa in order to ensure that the setting is above the setting for the line relief valve.

  1. Set the auxiliary tool mode to "TOOL #4". Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool - Select".

  1. Enter the service mode. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Service Mode - Enter".

  1. Press Down key (2) in order to highlight line 2.

  1. Press Right key (4) until "DEVICE TEST" is displayed on line 2.

  1. Press Down key (2) in order to highlight "ENGINE SPEED".

  1. Press Right key (4) until "PS PRV" is displayed on line 3.

  1. Press Menu key (6) in order to highlight "FIXED" on line 3.

  1. Press Down key (2) in order to highlight "STANDBY" on line 4. Press OK key (8) .

  1. Turn the engine speed dial to "10".

  1. Use Left key (3) or Right key (4) in order to adjust the power shift pressure to 2900 kPa (421 psi). The value on line 4 is an approximation of the pressure. Use the reading on the pressure gauge.

  1. Push the hydraulic activation control lever forward in order to energize the pilot system.

  1. Hold the right joystick Forward.

  1. Read the pressure gauge on the main pump. The pressure should be 35300 kPa (5120 psi) to 36800 ± 1500 kPa (5340 ± 220 psi). Press the Left key (3) or Right key (4) in order to adjust the pressure.

  1. Hold the right joystick Backward.

  1. Read the pressure gauge on the main pump. The pressure must be in the range of step 26. Press the Left key (3) or Right key (4) in order to adjust the pressure.

  1. Reset the main relief valve that was temporarily adjusted in step 13.
