Mounting Bracket - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the work tool from the host machine. Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7391, "Work Tool Installation and Removal".

Typical Example

When possible, position the work tool upright. The work tool should only be positioned in this manner on a solid, level surface. Refer to Illustration 1 for proper positioning of the work tool. If a solid level surface is not available, lay the work tool on a side.

  1. Attach an appropriate nylon lifting sling and a hoist to mounting bracket (1). The weight of the brackets are listed in Table 1.

  1. Remove the bolts and the washers from the mounting bracket. Lift the mounting bracket from the work tool.

Installation Procedure

    Typical Example

  1. Attach an appropriate nylon lifting sling and a hoist to mounting bracket (1). The weight of the brackets are listed in Table 1. Lift the mounting bracket into position on the work tool.

  1. Install the bolts and the washers to the mounting bracket. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 1000 ± 125 N·m (738 ± 92 lb ft).
