Usage:
The above A1 module regulator assemblies (brown in color) have been cancelled and replaced by kits. The kits contain an improved A1 module (black in color), a new gain rheostat and this Special Instruction. Use this instruction to install the following parts and make the necessary wiring changes.
(1) Remove the cover from the generator housing to gain access to the voltage regulator. Disconnect the wires from original A1 module (1), and connect these wires to same terminal on the new A1 module. Remove the original module and install new module on voltage regulator. Disconnect three wires from regulator gain rheostat (2), and remove original rheostat. Install new 3N2041 Rheostat and connect three wires to their respective terminals on new rheostat.
(2) For generators with 5N1850 A1 Module Regulator Assemblies only, disconnect the two wires marked "22" [one from L1 and one from C1] from terminal "22" on terminal strip (3) at location (A). Connect these two wires to terminal "22" on the terminal strip at location (B). Remove the number "22" wire identification from these two wires, and put new number "20" identification on the wires. Cut out the wiring diagram below, and install in place of original wiring diagram on cover.
