Usage:
The hydraulic override system for the fuel/air ratio control on these engines can be removed. It is not needed to help start the engine in cold weather. To install this service group all the hydraulic override system must be removed. Use this instruction along with the Service Manual and the Fuel Setting Information for the correct installation procedures.
1 If the engine is equipped with a 9N6063 Fuel Ratio Solenoid Control Group, remove tubes (1) and (2), solenoid (3), elbow (4) and connector (5). Install 5M6213 Plugs where elbow (4) and connector (5) were removed; use pipe thread sealant on the plugs.
2 If the engine is equipped with a 2W2054 Fuel Ratio Solenoid Control Group, remove tube (6), connector (7), hose (8), elbows (9) and (10), bracket (11), solenoid (12), elbows (13) and (14), hose (15) and tee (16). These parts will not be needed again. Install 5M6213 Plugs where connector (7) and tee (16) were removed; use pipe thread sealant on the plugs.
3 Remove covers (17) and (18), the bolts and the gaskets. Install 6L5764 Cover (19) and a 6L5766 Gasket with three 2N5919 Bolts. Use care not to turn screw (20) as cover (19) is installed.
NOTICE |
---|
If screw (20) is not adjusted correctly, the power setting on the engine will be wrong. See the Fuel Setting Information for the correct adjustments, then adjust the fuel/air ratio to the correct specifications. Install a new seal wire through the bolt heads so the fuel setting cannot be changed. |
