Usage:
1. Remove filter (1), bolts (2) and remove the oil filter base.
2. Remove plug (3), oil filter by-pass valve spring (4) and by-pass valve (5).
3. Disconnect turbocharger oil line (6). Remove fifteen bolts (7) and remove the oil cooler cover with gasket.
4. Remove plug (8), cooler by-pass valve spring (9) and by-pass valve (10).
5. Remove oil cooler (11) gasket and o-rings.
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the oil filter base and oil cooler.
6. With the gasket and o-rings in place, position oil cooler (11).
7. Install oil cooler by-pass valve (10), spring (9) and plug (8).
8. Position gasket, cover and install bolts (7). Torque bolts (7) down evenly, to 25 ± 7 N·m (18 ± 5 lb ft). Connect turbocharger oil line (6).
9. Install oil filter by-pass valve (5), spring (4) and plug (3).
10. Position the oil filter base with the o-rings and install bolts (2). Install oil filter (1).

Start engine and bring the engine up to operating temperature. Shut off the engine and allow it to cool. Re-torque bolts (7) as in Step 8. |
