Assembly Procedure

Note: Perform the following procedure for both rods.

1. Install piston (8) onto rod assembly (4) .

2. Install nut (10) and tighten nut (10) to a torque of 68 ± 7 N·m (50 ± 5 lb ft). Install cotter pin (9) .

3. Install head assembly (6) onto rod assembly (4) .

4. Install new seals (5) and (7) onto the head assembly (6) and piston (8) .

5. Insert rod assembly (4) into the cylinder.

6. Install retaining ring (3), ring (2) and retaining ring (1) inside the cylinder.

End By: Install the quick coupler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Quick Coupler - Remove and Install".
