The existing 450-4289 and 4504290/">450-4290 hose assemblies can leak on certain MH3022 and MH3024 Material Handlers.
In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 5% of dealership population. Replace the existing 450-4289 and 4504290/">450-4290 Hose Assemblies with new 450-4289 and 4504290/">450-4290 Hose Assemblies that have the Omega shape mark. The Omega shape mark has been added by the hoses manufacturing facility during the hoses as built process. The Omega shape mark has to be oriented on top. The Omega shape mark orientation will facilitate the best hose orientation and routing. Refer to Images1.1.1, 1.1.2, and 1.1.3.

Special Procedure for Marking Omega curvature for 450-4289 and 4504290/">450-4290 Hose Assemblies:
1. Assemble the parts using standard procedures.
2. When placing the hose assembly into the routing, set the flange coupling head into the flange half and hand tighten the bolt so that the flange is held in position but can still be rotated if required.
3. Holding the coupling end, push the hose into the Omega shape. Refer to Image1.2.1.

4. Align the Omega curvature so that it is in line with the coupling ends. Refer to Image1.3.1 for the three examples below. Rotation of the flange head in the flange half may be required to align the hose curvature with the hose ends, as shown in the middle example.

5. Once good alignment of the Omega shape is found, as shown in Image1.3.1 (middle example), tighten the bolts on the flange half and install the coupling end, following standard torque procedures.
