When reporting the repair, use "PI32491" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI32491" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The oil pump gear needs to be replaced on certain 216B 3 and 226B 3 Skid Steer Loaders. The existing oil pump gear failure will result in a loss of oil pressure. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Replace the engine oil pump gear on listed machines. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly for the correct procedures: - Remove the fuel shutoff solenoid. Refer to KENR6948, Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Shutoff Solenoid - Remove and Install". - Remove the fuel injection pump. Refer to KENR6948, Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Pump - Remove and Install". - Remove the V-belt. Refer to KENR6948, Disassembly and Assembly, "V-Belts - Remove and Install". - Remove the crankshaft pulley. Refer to KENR6948, Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Pulley - Remove and Install". - Remove the front housing. Refer to KENR6948, Disassembly and Assembly, "Housing (Front) - Remove". - Refer to KENR6948, Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Remove". IMPORTANT: Do not remove or replace the the oil pump hub. Only the oil pump gear needs to be changed. IMPORTANT: If the front housing is not installed, do NOT turn the crankshaft. Damage to the engine may occur. - Reassemble as per Disassembly and Assembly procedures. |
