PROBLEM
The existing speedometer sensor can fail on certain 424 and 424B Backhoe Loaders. If the existing speedometer sensor fails it will malfunction. |

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
1. Park the machine on level ground. 2. Place the bucket parallel to the ground and keep the front tire touching the ground. Ensure both rear tire and stabilizer are on the ground. 3. The Backhoe structure should be center positioned and be resting on the ground. 4. Turn off the engine. 5. Remove the failed sensor. 6. Mount the new sensor on the bracket with a minimum air gap of 0.5mm and a maximum air gap of 1.5mm between the sensor and spacer, fitted on transmission yoke. Refer to Image1.1.1. |

7. Apply Loctite 243 to sensor threads. 8. Tighten the nuts, that were supplied with the sensor, to a specified torque of 25 +/- 5 N.m. |
