Certain rear crankshaft ceals has carrier ID scratching and seal assembly OD rippling that can cause the seal to leak. |
Inspect all 2854073, 2854074, 7C1728, and 1005421 Rear Crankshaft Seals in dealer parts stock.
Inspect for rear crankshaft seal date code before February 21, 2014. Refer to Image 1 for the date code location (1) and examples on how to translate the date code.
If the rear crankshaft seal is or after the date code February 21, 2014, mark the package to indicate it has been inspected according to this program and return the part to dealer parts stock.
If the rear crankshaft seal is before the date code February 21, 2014, remove the part from dealer parts stock. |
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
