2W4226 Turbocharger Oil Supply Conversion Group is a replacement for the turbocharger lubrication valve, which is no longer needed on the above machines. If the turbocharger lubrication valve is installed backward, unfiltered (not clean) oil will be permitted to flow to the turbochargers at all times during operation. Installation of the conversion group will prevent this and still give the correct lubrication to the turbochargers. To install the conversion group, see the instructions that follow.
(1) Remove tube assembly (1) and the hardware. Make a replacement of the bolts that held the clip brackets in position with shorter bolts as necessary. Remove elbow (2) and connector (3). Make a replacement of connector (3) with a 2B858 Plug in flange (4). Remove tube assembly (5), tee (6) and the gasket. Keep the bolts that held tube (5) to the turbocharger.

Keep engine oil passages clean and free of foreign material. |
(2) Remove bolts (7) and cover (8). Remove spring (9) and plunger (10). Install a 2W4225 Spool, a new 2S2456 Gasket, cover (8) and bolts (7).
The spring behind the cover is under compression. Remove the bolts slowly and evenly. Sudden release of the cover could cause personal injury. |
(3) Remove four bolts (11) and cover (12). Remove plug (13) from cover (12). Keep the plug to use with the new cover.
(4) Install new 7S531 Gasket and 2W541 Cover Assembly (14) with four S1591 Bolts (15) and former 5M2894 Washers. Put a 336042 O-Ring Seal on plug (13). Install plug (13) in cover assembly (14). Put a 2M9780 O-Ring Seal on 9M4584 Connector (16). Install connector (16) in cover assembly (14). Connect 5P4900 Elbow (17) to tube (18). Put a 1S6595 Gasket in position on the turbocharger and connect 1W8060 Tube Assembly (19) to connector (16) and elbow (17). Install former bolts (20) in the turbocharger. Install 1S2487 Clip (21) on tube assembly (19) and fasten the clip to the accessory drive cover, as shown, with the existing bolt and washer.
