Usage:
583R (2XS) Pipelayers
Reference: Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7109-01, 583R Pipelayer; "Boom Line - Install"; Page 98.
Description of Change: A new upper sheave block for the boom cable is now available. The new sheave block assembly has the anchor point on the opposite side of the bottom plate. With this change, the cable must be reeved in the opposite direction. This helps the boom cable spool more evenly on the winch drum.
NOTE: Refer to the new cable routing procedure in this article.
Adaptable To: The new 134-0450 Upper Block Group is a direct replacement for the existing block group of the same part number. The new block group is effective with 583R (2XS530). The block group is adaptable to 583R (2XS1-529) Pipelayers. The existing block group can be updated by replacing the existing 8P-5751 Plate with the new 165-3783 Plate.
