(1) 9L9188 Spring (oil cooler and oil filter bypass valve):

Test force ... 3.5 lb.(15.6 N)
Free length after test ... 2.28 in.(57.9 mm)
Outside diameter ... .440 in.(11.18 mm)
(2) Oil filter bypass valve.
(3) Torque for nuts that hold oil cooler core to oil cooler base (hand torque only) ... 16 ± 2 lb.ft.(22 ± 3 N·m)
NOTE: Assemble gasket to oil cooler base with indexing point toward the front of the engine and in the up position.
(4) Torque for fitting ... 19 ± 4 lb.ft.(25 ± 5 N·m)
(5) Torque for cap ... 15 ± 4 lb.ft.(20 ± 5 N·m)
Oil pressure difference that makes the oil filter bypass valve open ... 20 ± 4 psi (140 ± 25 kPa)
Oil pressure difference that makes the oil cooler bypass valve open ... 18 ± 4 psi(125 ± 25 kPa)
