PRODUCT LINE ADDITIONS: REMANUFACTURED C1.5, C2.2, C4.4, & C6.6 ENGINES FOR MACHINE AND COMMERCIAL ENGINE APPLICATIONS
Announcement
Effective September 1, 2010, Caterpillar announces the addition of Remanufactured C1.5, C2.2, C4.4, and C6.6 engines for both machine and commercial engine applications. This product is intended to supplement dealer rebuild capability with complete engine repair alternatives that can be used as either back-up or primary service solutions. Detail of the offering is listed in the following tables.

Cat? remanufactured engines provide off-the-shelf availability to reduce turnaround time and decrease customer downtime. Customers who want fast repair turn-around, superior quality and reliability, and lower repair costs will benefit from the use of these remanufactured engines.

Consist
Reman engines come fully assembled and dynamometer-tested. The cleaning, inspection and remanufacturing specifications of Cat Reman engines provide the best possible value for our customers. Flywheel, starter, alternator, and associated wiring must be reused from the core engine or purchased separately.
Note: During initial stages of this offering, you may receive a new seed engine that will be dressed with peripheral components such as flywheel, starter, alternator, etc. Be advised that these components are not part of a normal Reman complete engine configuration and you will not be charged for these items.

Core Management
Please refer to the Cat Core Management Information System (CMIS 2) related to the parts information application that describes all Reman part - Core Acceptability Family (CAF) and other related information. Also refer to other CMIS 2 inquiry applications such as: Dealer Customer Profile, Inspection Reason Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Dealer Add Charges, Dealer Entitlement Activity, Dealer CCR Inquiry, Dealer CCR Entry, Dealer Shipment Processing, Dealer Process Packaging Grief and Reporting. This information is available to all dealers worldwide that have been converted to CMIS 2.
