Usage:
START BY:
a. remove compressor coil
1. Remove felt sleeve (1) from the compressor neck.
2. Use tool (A) to remove snap ring (2) from the compressor neck.

It is very important to keep all foreign material out of the compressor. DO NOT use air pressure. |
3. Thoroughly clean the area inside the compressor neck.
4. Use tool (B) to remove seal seat (3) from the compressor neck.
5. Use tool (C) to remove the O-ring seal from the groove on the inside diameter of the compressor neck.
6. Push down and turn tool (D) to engage the ears of the tool with seal assembly (4). Remove the seal.
7. Check the faces of the shaft seal. If the seal is damaged in any way, install a new seal.
Install Compressor Shaft Seal
1. Check the area inside the compressor neck again to make sure it is clean.
2. Put clean refrigerant oil on the shaft and the inside of the compressor neck.
3. Put clean refrigerant oil on the O-ring seal for the inside of the compressor neck. Use tool (A) to install the O-ring seal in the groove in the compressor neck.
4. Install seal protector (B) on the compressor shaft.
5. Put clean refrigerant oil on seal assembly (1).
6. Use tool (C) to carefully install the seal assembly in the compressor neck.
7. Remove tool (B) from the compressor shaft.
8. Put clean refrigerant oil on seal seat (2). Use tool (D) to install the seal seat. The seal must be installed deep enough to keep the O-ring seal in its groove in the compressor neck.
9. Use tool (E) to install snap ring (3). The flat surface of the ring must be toward the seal seat.
10. Install felt sleeve (4) in the compressor neck.
