Updated Wiring Configuration is Now Used on Certain 3412 Generator Sets {1404}

Description Of Change: Updated wiring configuration is now used on certain machines listed above. The updated wiring ensures proper generator set wiring and improves service life of the machine.

The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Updated wiring configuration is now available on SAP. Confirm the alternator configuration type from the supplier and ensure this is selected in Engine Order Management Project (EOMP), and the configuration type mentioned in the sales notes for engineering to discuss at timeline.

Generator set wiring

Ensure that the alternator is wired for series star or parallel star as shown in Illustration 1. Review Table 1 and 2 given below which confirms the wiring configuration for each alternator part number, giving particular attention to the dedicated windings for 380V parallel star.
