Use Of A High Temperature Regulator Will Keep Condensation To A Minimum
Usage:
All 3304, 3306, G333, G342, G343, G353, G379, G398, G399 Natural Gas Engines
Some natural gas engines, when used with gas compressors, have problems, which are a result of low jacket water temperatures. Two of these problems are:
-
- ... Condensation, which causes oil sludge, when the engines are operated with light loads.
- ... The development of sulfuric acid in the oil from operation with H2S (hydrogen sulfide) in the natural gas.
- ... Condensation, which causes oil sludge, when the engines are operated with light loads.
The use of a water temperature regulator with a higher opening temperature will reduce the possibility of these problems. The water temperature regulators, which are shown in the chart, have an opening temperature setting of 88°C (190°F).
