The line voltage must be in the permissible range. Refer to the Specification section for information on the operating range of the inverter.

  1. Disconnect the circuit breaker and secure it against reconnection.

  2. Strip the AC cable. Remove 30 mm (1.18 inch) of the outer sheath.

  3. Strip the insulated conductors. Remove 10 mm (0.39 inch) in order to have efficient exposure of the conductor.

  4. Secure the swivel nut (8), sealing ring (7), and threaded sleeve (6) to the AC cable.

  5. Insert the stripped conductors into the respective screw terminals labeled "L", "N", "PE" on the socket (4). Tighten the screws firmly.

  6. Insert the AC connection plug into the AC output receptacle (4) on the inverter.

DC Connection

Photovoltaic array connection

  1. Ensure that the inverter is disconnected from all voltage sources.

  2. Strip the DC cable insulation 12 mm (0.47 in).

  3. Lead the stripped cable into the DC input receptacle (2).

  4. Press down on the clamping bracket in order to snap it into place.

  5. Push the swivel nut up to the thread and tighten.

  6. Insert the DC plug connectors.

AC Connection

Connecting to the utility grid

The line voltage must be in the permissible range. Refer to the Specification section for information on the operating range of the inverter.

  1. Disconnect the circuit breaker and secure it against reconnection.

  2. Dismantle the AC cable by 50 mm (1.97 in).

  3. Shorten the "L" and "N" conductors such that the wires are 8 mm (0.31 inch) shorter than the grounding conductor.

  4. Strip the insulation of the conductors by 12 mm (0.47 in).

  5. Unscrew the swivel nut from the threaded sleeve. Thread the swivel nut and threaded sleeve over the AC cable.

  6. Insert the stripped conductors into the respective screw terminals labeled "L", "N", "PE" on the socket. Tighten the screws firmly.

  7. Secure the locking cap onto the bush insert. Ensure that the key on the locking cap is inserted into the keyway on the bush insert.

  8. Lead the threaded sleeve to the bush insert. Screw the sleeve onto the bush insert.

  9. Secure the swivel nut onto the threaded sleeve. The swivel nut is used to seal the AC connector and provide strain relief for the AC cable.

  10. Remove the locking cap from the bush insert.

  11. Plug the AC connector into the AC output receptacle (13). Ensure that the AC connector is secured tightly.

DC Connection

  1. Ensure that the inverter is disconnected from all voltage sources.

  2. Strip the DC cable insulation 12 mm (0.47 inch).

  3. Lead the stripped cable into the DC input receptacle (9).

  1. Disconnect the AC circuit breaker and secure it against reconnection.

  2. Ensure that the DC load-break switch on the inverter is in the OFF position.

  3. Remove the lower enclosure lid.

  4. Remove the adhesive tape from the enclosure opening for the AC connection.

  5. Insert the conduit fitting into the opening and tighten from the inside using the counter nut.

  6. Attach the conduit to the proper fitting.

  7. Route the conductors from the conduit into the inverter unit. Do not allow the conductors to contact the communication assembly.

  8. Connect the equipment grounding conductor of the utility grid to the equipment grounding terminal.

  9. Plug the AC terminal block for the AC connection into the slot labeled "AC-out" in the inverter. Tighten the terminal block using the mounting screws.

  10. Strip the insulation of the conductors by 12 mm (0.47 in).

  11. Push the conductors into the proper terminals.

Note: Do not insert the conductors into the actuation shafts.

DC Connection

  1. Open the external DC disconnecting switch if applicable.

  2. Ensure that the DC load-break switch on the inverter is in the OFF position.

  3. Ensure that there is no voltage on the DC inputs of the inverter.

  4. Remove the adhesive tape from the enclosure opening for the DC connection.

  5. Insert the conduit fitting into the opening and tighten from the inside using the counter nut.

  6. Attach the conduit to the conduit fitting.

  7. Route the conductors from the conduit into the inverter. Do not allow the conductors to contact the communication assembly.

  8. Connect the equipment grounding conductor of the photovoltaic array to an equipment grounding terminal.

  9. Plug the terminal block for the DC connection into the slot labeled "DC-in" in the inverter.

  10. Ensure that the terminal block is secured in place and the screws are tightened.

  11. Connect the conductors to the terminal block. Ensure that the conductors are connected to the proper terminals.

Note: Always connect the positive and negative terminals of a string to the same input.

  12. Ensure that the conductors are pushed completely into the terminal points. Do not leave bare wire exposed.
