New Marine Gear Groups Have New Clutch Plates
Usage:
MG506 Marine Gears For 3208 And 3304 Marine Engines
Description of Change: New MG506 Marine Gear Groups are available for use with 3208 and 3304 Marine Engines. The new groups have new clutch plates that have been shot peened to increase the strength of the teeth.
Reports show that some of the former clutch plates have had failures in the tooth area.
Adaptable As: The new marine gear groups are direct replacements for the former groups as shown in the chart. The clutch plate is the only part that changed in these groups. The new 3T9293 Clutch Plate is a direct replacement for the former 2N2428 Clutch Plate, which is canceled.
Identification of the new 3T9293 Clutch Plate can be made by the green dye on the clutch plate teeth.
