Prior to taking any actions, check with the Product Link admins to identify if the Product Link PL 522 device is subscribed and viewable in VisionLink
If the device is not viewable, follow the instructions titled "Activating the System" located within Special Instruction, REHS2368, "Installation Procedure for Product Link PL522/523 (Cellular)". If the device is viewable but not reporting data, follow the steps below.

When the Product Link PL 522 device displays the symptoms the following list, or is similar to screen shot shown in Illustration 1, then the SIM Card or contacts have been corrupted is indicated:
- Cellular Signal
- No SIM Card Number
- SIM Card Status "Not Ready"
- International Mobile Equipment Identity Number
Replace the PL 522 device.

If the Product Link PL 522 device displays the symptoms in the following list, or is similar to the symptoms shown in the Illustration 2 from Cat R Electronic Technician (ET), then a potential modem issue is indicated:
- No Cell Signal
- No SIM Card Number
- SIM Card Status "Not Ready"
- International Mobile Equipment Identity Number
Replace the PL 522 device.
