Engine News SEBD9770, 21 March 2012, "A Stainless Steel Braided Hose Is Used for Certain G3500 Engine Fuel Heaters". The original article was revised to add effectivity. No other information was changed.

Description of Change: The former hose has a synthetic rubber casing. The new hose with a stainless steel braided cover is more rugged and more resistant to heat.

(1) 382-1407 Hose As

The new 382-1407 Hose As replaces the former 318-2853 Hose As, which is canceled.

The new 382-1407 Hose As is adaptable to the above engines back to first production.

  • Use two 121-4345 O-Ring Seals with the new hose.

  • Secure the hose with three 6V-3265 Clips .

The new 382-1407 Hose As is effective with the following serial numbers:

  • RBK01110

  • JHH01013

  • JEF01441

  • GLF00127
