Engine Crankcase Breather - Clean

The crankcase breathers are located on the valve covers.
- Remove the tube (1) from the outlet of the breather and loosen the clamp.
- Remove the breather from the engine.
- Check the condition of the seal. Replace the seal if the seal is damaged.
- Remove the breather element. Wash the breather element and wash the breather in a clean nonflammable solvent.
- Shake the breather element until the breather element is dry. You may also use pressurized air in order to dry the breather element.
- Check the condition of the tube. Replace the tube if the tube is damaged.
- Install the element into the breather and install the breather.
- Install the tube onto the outlet of the breather cover and tighten the clamp.
