This procedure will reduce the possibility of creating stress in the double wall fuel lines. Refer to Table 1 for a list of the double wall fuel lines that are associated with the above listed engines.

During the installation and replacement of double wall fuel lines (1), install the individual lines in the following manner. Refer to Illustration 1.

1. Loosely connect each fuel line to the fuel pump and the adapter of the fuel injector.

2. Install all of the fuel line retaining clips (2) and tighten the bolts to the correct specification.

3. Torque the fuel lines to the correct specification at the fuel pump and at the adapter connections of the fuel injector.
