Bolts Are Loosening on the Bottom of the Transmission Control{3073} Caterpillar

The 6V-2317 Bolts may not have been tightened to the proper torque on some of the control groups on the listed machines. The 6V-2317 Bolts on the bottom plate of the transmission control group may loosen and the bolts may fall into the sump (3) .

If a 6V-2317 Bolt (6) is found in the screen (2) or in the sump (3), remove bolts (4) and (5) that hold the control group. Inspect the bottom of the control group (1) for the missing bolt. Check the torque on all the bolts (6) on the bottom plate.

Tighten the bolts (6) to the following torque. ... 30 ± 4 N·m (22 ± 3 lb ft)
