Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install".

Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine. To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps. Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.

1. Remove the four bolts for fan (1). Relocate fan (1) .

2. Loosen bolts (2) .

3. Release tension on belt (4). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

4. Remove bolts (2) and adapter (3). Remove fan (1) .

Installation Procedure

1. Position fan (1). Install adapter (3) and bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 58 ± 6 N·m (43 ± 4 lb ft).

2. Adjust belt (4) to the correct tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

3. Position fan (1) and install the four bolts. Tighten the four bolts to a torque of 58 ± 6 N·m (43 ± 4 lb ft).

End By: Install the fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install".
