Note: When additional safety is needed on machines that are equipped with a swing brake solenoid, disconnect the swing brake solenoid so that the swing brake remains engaged.
- Position the machine on level ground and stop the engine.
- Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" for the machine.
- Attach a 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge to pressure tap (10) that is located on the manifold for the PRV solenoids (9) .

- Start the engine.
- Move the engine speed dial to position 10.
- Set the pilot pressure to the specifications in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Pilot) - Test and Adjust" for the machine.
- Warm the hydraulic oil to 50 °C (122 °F).
- Set the main relief valve to the specifications in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Main) - Test and Adjust" for the machine.
- Calibrate the power shift pressure. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Calibration" for the Machine Electronic Control System.
- Set the auxiliary tool mode for "TOOL#4". Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool - Select" for the Tool Control System.
Note: The extension solenoid valve for the attachment control valve is part of the clench pressure circuit. The implement ECM requires the more precise calibration for effective control of the clench pressure circuit. Only the extension solenoid valve "1A" for the attachment control valve needs to be calibrated.
