Usage:
(1) When nozzles (7) have been installed, remove plugs (1) (12 plugs). Start the engine and check for fuel leakage at plug openings. If there is leakage, stop engine and correct leak. Install the plugs.
(2) Torque for the nuts that hold the fuel lines ... 30 ± 5 lb. ft.(40 ± 7 N·m)
(3) Put 9S3264 Pipe Sealant on union at installation.
(4) Torque for the nuts that hold the nozzles:
First torque ... 85 lb. ft.(115 N·m)
Last torque ... 105 ± 5 lb. ft.(142 ± 7 N·m)
(5) Body.
(6) 1P7324 or 1P9380 Glow Plugs (24 V)
Torque with 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound ... 120 ± 24 lb. in.(13.6 ± 2.8 N·m)
Current draw at 24 V (1 glow plug) ... approx. 6.5 A
Current draw at 24 V (for each side of engine) ... 33.5 to 39 A
(7) Tighten nozzle finger tight on body (5).
(8) Torque for precombustion chamber ... 150 ± 10 lb. ft.(205 ± 14 N·m)
