NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS44462" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve may cause excessive drift on the boom or stick cylinder on certain M315D 2 and M317D 2 Wheel Excavators. If the cylinder drift is over specification, replacement of the 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve by a new one is required. |

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
1. Perform the cylinder drift test for the machine to identify the possible defective anti-drift valve. Refer to UENR0844, Testing and Adjusting Manual, "Cylinder Drift-Check", for additional information. |
2. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to UENR0844, Testing and Adjusting Manual, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release", for additional information. |
3. Remove the identified defective 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve (boom, stick, bucket). Refer to Image1.3.1 for the location of the 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valves. |

4. Install the new 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve according to the following Rework Procedure: Anti-Drift Valve-Stick: 1. Install the 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve on main valve block with four 8T-4198 Bolts, two 5W-9857 Half Flanges, and two 4J-5267 Flange Sealing Rings. Tighten the bolts to a specified torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m. Refer to drawing 391-2631. 2. Successively install the 148-8378 Elbow Adapter and 148-8336 Straight Adapter on the 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve. Tighten to to a specified torque of 55 +/-8 N.m. Note: Pay attention to the tighten angle of elbow adapter. 3. Connect the 123-7957 Hose Assembly to the 148-8378 Elbow Adapter. Tighten to a specified torque of 24 + 3 N.m. Connect 138-7948 Hose Assembly to the 148-8336 Straight Adapter. Tighten to a specified torque of 24 + 3 N.m. Refer to Image1.4.1. |

Anti-Drift Valve-Boom: 1).Install the 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve on the main valve block with four 8T-4198 Bolts, two 5W-9857 Half Flanges, 4J-5267 Flange Sealing Ring, 1P-3702 Rectangular Seal, and 291-3637 Bracket. Tighten the four bolts to a specified torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m. Refer to drawing 391-2631. 2. Successively install the 150-3036 Elbow Adapter and 148-8336 Straight Adapter on the 2540489/">254-0489 Anti-Drift Valve. Tighten to a specified torque of 55 +/- 8 N.m. Note: Pay attention to the tighten angle of elbow adapter. 3. Connect 113-0453 Hose Assembly to the 150-3036 Elbow Adapter. Tighten to a specified torque of 24 + 3 N.m. Connect the 113-0454 Hose Assembly to the 148-8336 Straight Adapter. Tighten to a specified torque of 24 + 3 N.m. Refer to Image1.5.1. |

5. Once the installation is completed, warm up the hydraulics to operating temperature and operate the boom/stick/bucket for 20 cycles, shut the machine off and check for oil leakage. If no leakage found, perform the cylinder drift test again. Refer to UENR0844, Testing and Adjusting Manual, "Cylinder Drift-Check". |
