Once starting has been achieved and the output frequency of the generator is above the knee frequency, the regulator will normally act to keep the generator output voltage constant. As changes in generator loading cause a voltage sag or a voltage rise, the regulator will automatically adjust generator excitation in order to maintain the output voltage that is set by parameter :01. If loading causes the generator frequency to drop below the knee frequency, then the profile for loading and stopping will be followed. See System Operation, "Loading And Stopping Profile".
A remote voltage adjust rheostat may be used in order to fine tune the generator output voltage. If the remote voltage adjust rheostat is used, then the value of the reference voltage may be adjusted within ±10% of the value that is set in parameter :01.
