PROBLEM
The existing crankshaft needs to be replaced at the first planned component rebuild (PCR) on certain C175-16 Generator Sets, 793F, and 795F Off-Highway Trucks. The existing crankshafts may cause failures if re-used due to a manufacturing issue. The Off-Highway Truck serial numbers identified in the Affected Product were chosen if the factory installed crankshaft had the potential quality issue. For the Off-Highway Truck serial numbers listed in the Affected Product, please refer to Image 1 in the Action Required section of this letter. This program applies only if the Off-Highway Truck is equipped with any engine serial number that is listed in Image 1. |
