"7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code. |

Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst. |
The existing inlet valve spring can fail on certain 10R-1454, 0R-2778, 0R-8170, 0R-8171, 0R-8172, 0R-8173, and 0R-8174 Reman Air Compressors. If the existing spring fails it will prevent the compressor from building air pressure. |
Inspect all 10R-1454, 0R-2778, 0R-8170, 0R-8171, 0R-8172, 0R-8173, and 0R-8174 Reman Air Compressors in dealer parts stock.
If a compressor does fall in the date range of May 2014 to July 2014 and serial number of 12114 through 19214, remove the part from dealer parts stock.
If a compressor does not fall in the date range of May 2014 to July 2014 and serial number of 12114 through 19214, mark the package to indicate that the part has been inspected according to this program and return the part to dealer parts stock. |
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
