P-303 Intermittent Engine Speed Or Speed Burps

Usage:

NOTE: The following procedure should only be used once the problem has definitely been determined to be Intermittent. Otherwise, refer to Section 5 of the 3406C Electronic Troubleshooting Guide (Form No. SENR5503) to isolate an Active problem.

Complete Steps 1 and 2

Interview the driver using the Driver Questionnaire.

Use the Diagnosis and Action column.

Complete Steps 3 Through 17 if monitoring the ECAP did not reveal the problem.

Each step will eliminate one subsystem (complete all steps).

Take the truck for a test drive after each step(s) to determine which step eliminates the problem.

If the problem is gone, work backwards using the Diagnosis/Action column to determine which step has eliminated the problem.
