A new accumulator for the ride control is now available. The new accumulator provides improved service life.

The new 251-8264 Accumulator Gp replaces the former 2Q-1256 Ride Control Accumulator As and 219-8034 Accumulator Gp. The new 251-8264 Accumulator Gp is adaptable to (S/N: 8XZ1-UP).

Procedure:

1. Remove the ride control accumulator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ride Control Accumulator - Remove and Install". Discard the ride control accumulator.

Ride control accumulator is located in the front frame (1) 251-8264 Accumulator Gp (2) 0S-1593 Bolt (3) 8T-4223 Hard Washer (4) 3P-0440 Port Connector (5) 7M-8485 O-Ring Seal

2. Charge 251-8264 Accumulator Gp (1) with nitrogen. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Rebuilt or New Accumulator Nitrogen Charging Procedure".

3. Install 3P-0440 Port Connector (4) and 7M-8485 O-Ring Seal (5) to 251-8264 Accumulator Gp (1) .

4. Install 251-8264 Accumulator Gp (1). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ride Control Accumulator - Remove and Install".

5. Test the ride control operation. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Ride Control Road Test".
