Usage:
start by:
a) remove bridge rectifier and exciter armature
b) remove main exciter field
1. Disconnect wires (1) (11 through 16) from the regulator terminal strip.
2. Pull wires (1) from the generator and put the wires in the position as shown.
3. Remove the bolts that hold stator (2) to the bracket assembly and remove stator (2) from the generator.
4. Loosen the bolts and the nuts to remove permanent magnet (3) from the generator.
Install Permanent Magnet And Stator
Do not let your hands get between the permanent magnet and the bracket assembly when the magnet is installed. The magnetic force of the magnet can cause the magnet to pull itself on to the shaft and cause injury. |
1. Put permanent magnet (1) in position on shaft (2) and tighten the bolts and the nuts to hold the magnet in position.
2. Install two 1/4"-20 NC guide bolts in the bracket assembly. Put stator (3) in position on the guide bolts and install the bolts to hold it in position. Remove the guide bolts and install the remainder of the bolts.

Wires (5) must be installed through plastic strap (4) to prevent damage to the wires by the rotor assembly. |
3. Put wires (5) in position in the generator.
4. Connect six wires (5) (11 through 16) to the regulator terminal strip.
